Prominent Blogger Beaten – Arrested – Schuler in Alabama

Blogger Roger Schuller after beating by Alabama police - wouldn't stop writing about corruption.

Blogger Roger Schuler after beating by Alabama police – wouldn’t stop writing about corruption.

I’ve followed Roger Schuler’s writing for years due to his excellent reporting on scandals in Alabama,  his interest in election fraud, and his world-class reporting on the Don Siegelman case, an injustice of epic proportions.   Schuler has been harassed before, severely, but this beating take things to a new level.  When an honest citizen journalist gets trounced by the authorities for exercising his right of free speech, it’s time for the Justice Department to step in.  Eric Holder, this is your time.  Oh, but wait, the Obama administration nominated  Elana Kagan for the Supreme Court.  When she served as Solicitor General under Holder, she argued before the Supreme Court against overturning the outrageous Siegelman conviction.   (Elena Kagan – Willing Accomplice  June 22, 2010).  Don’t bother looking for justice at main Justice.

It is high time to wake up and realize that we’re a Lawless Nation, without anyone at the top willing to stand up for freedom of the press. Oh, but Obama’s a Democrat, some say, and he really wants to do the right thing.. Bull Shit! Just ask Roger Schuler how much Obama has done for him.

2012Reports from the arc of the angry Tea Party movement indicate that, yes indeed, there is a FEDERAL  government and yes, it does provide a big payoff to be in one of the five states that comprise Tea Party Homeland.   Each and every one of the states on the map receives back more from the federal government than it pays in taxes and other revenues (Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas). These states voted for Mitt Romney by big margins and contributed a healthy share of the Tea Party Republicans in Congress.

Now it’s time to pay the price for this type of negligence.  Businesses and defense workers, schools and health programs, you name it, are going to feel the lash of the Tea Party madness.  This isn’t your normal budget drama that  gets resolved at the last minute.  It’s the apogee of Tea Party anger and cynicism.  Just look at the way the Senate handled the Hagel hearings.  They treated their former colleague with utter contempt.  Recall John McCain’s anger.  He’s one of the more reasonable Republicans.
