Huckabee advocates criminal acitivity for Chambliss

Republican election tactics:

just be criminal.

Huckabee urged the crowd to take friends and relatives to the polls. Turnout will be key in the Dec. 2 race, which occurs just after the Thanksgiving holiday.

“If they’re voting for Saxby, get them to the polls,” Huckabee said. “If they’re not, let the air out of their tires.”

Of course, he was joking.

Right?

I've worked in some large companies. And they never had a sense of humor.

Why? Because all jokes are offensive to someone. And when the joke hits that someone, and the person objects, the jokes suddenly become not funny. Just embarrassing.

Huckabee was trying to be funny. It's suddenly not funnny if someone lets air out of tyres. Which they will.

when I was teaching, you couldn't praise kids because other kids would get jealous for attention and you couldn't scold kids because other kids would get jealous for attention.

the world is a strange place.

These people are the progeny of the ante-bellum slave-holders, and they are still fighting the Civil War by any means available against a force that they know deep down will ultimately prevail against them and their obsolete way of life based on privilege and hate, wrapped in the cross and flag.

They haven't yet gotten it that Obama's election is the final nail in the coffin of the Confederacy, and they are grasping at straws. Huckabee's "joke" means, "Do everything you can to stop them," in Old South-speak.

After Obama's win, white backlash festers in US

Not saying that Huck is one of these, but they are some of the people that he is speaking to. Only 20% of native Southern whites in the Deep South voted for Obama, and talk of secessionist groups is gaining ground.
