"Ellen represents the values of our company"

Via Raw Story, here's my happy thought for the day.

Appearing on CBS This Morning on Thuesday, J.C. Penny CEO Ron Johnson put an end to the so-called controversy over talk show host Ellen DeGeneres being picked as the company’s spokeswoman.

“She shares the same values that we do,” he said. “Our company was founded 110 years ago on the golden rule, as about treating people fair and square, just like you’d be treated yourself. We think that Ellen represents the values of our company and the values that we share.”

I need to find an excuse to go shopping at J.C. Penny. That stance is worth a few bucks in support.

of JCPenney's social conscience.

It was only 6 months ago that the very same company intended to groom little girls to become blonde bimbos (Actor's labeling) for the patriarchy. After a huge outcry and an online petition, JCPenney decided it had made the wrong business move and pulled the offensive item from the market.

I guess it's safer to support homosexuality than to denounce the cause of all ills ... sexism.

Johnson used to be head of retail at Apple.

Raw Story is incorrect: It's PennEy's

I don't shop JCP (*wink*) often, but I may have to throw a buck or two their way, maybe online.

And Adrena, you'll note I call Steve Doocy that as well. I think you owe me a half-apology. It's not sexist, it's dopist.

concerning this story, JCPenney's name shows up all over the Internet. Googling PennEy brings up JCPenney's name as well.

As for your comment: By the way, this exchange shows just how ignorant and idiotic Steve Doocy and the other blonde bimbo are. You're describing Doocy as idiotic and the woman who doesn't even have a name as the other (idiotic) blonde bimbo. Doocy's hair is grey, not blonde. Nevertheless, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and hereby offer a half-apology.
