Serious Question

If Obama cuts Social Security benefits and/or raises the retirement age does it even matter who wins in 2012?

Americans hit the “easy” button, despite the fact that everyone knows it doesn’t work. As a group, we wanted to feel good about ourselves again (after Bush and 2 wars) and go back to some semblance of what we had before. Obama fit that bill perfectly though he’s since been revealed as more of the same, with a much improved speaking demeanor.

We’ll look for the “easy” button again in 2012, whatever candidate that may be. Sooner or later people are going to realize that the fight must be met, there is more to lose by inches than to tackle the problem head on. Not there yet though, by 2016 I don’t think we’ll have too many options left. It’ll be fight or accept the yoke in total submission.

the surpluses which were ‘invested’ and misused for other purposes, the Social Security Trust Fund (so much for ‘trust’, eh?) would be rolling in money.
Of course, paying back the IOUs would require more taxes and budget cuts and might even make a few billionaires delay buying the next yacht, so it won’t happen.

Nope and I guess I better start looking for a bridge to live under if they raise the age.

…who runs or “wins” in 2012. The die is cast; it’s only the window display that changes.

Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows,or with both~FDouglas
