I'd have to research her history to see how well she stands up on principle. As SF city atty, I didn't think she was so bad, compared to others they had over the years.

Still...big money got no soul.. Might chew her up

and if OWS can resurge in the Spring, they'll have some relief (and ammo) in their struggle. 100,000 pissed off people marching around NYC and DC angry at the banks can change a politician's mind, or at least garner some quality pandering. Couple of big ifs in these equations, but it's possible.

We always look at the financial institutions and banks and see XXX millions or billions at their disposal. That's their strength. It's wise to be cautious of it. But we have to also realize that all these institutions are effectively in default, not a one of them could survive without constant govt funding and ripping money from the public coffers. They are ravenous beasts that must eat a ton of money just to survive. That's their weakness. To win, all we have to do is stall or halt that funding for a small period of time and all of them will collapse under their own weight. This is something OWS can do, this is something we as Americans can do; all we need do is crimp the flow of money and run out the clock.

We want to see 1,000,000 protesters fighting against riot cops and snapping dogs and fire hoses and whatever to swarm into a fortified govt building and demand justice, holding a ragged US flag aloft at the end. But we've seen too many damn Hollywood movies, all we have to do is muddy their plans and wait. They've do all the rest on their own.
