So, My Right Clavicle . . .

. . . or collar bone is broken in three places. I'm scheduled for surgery Monday morning. It's going to be a few more days yet until we return to regular blogging. My apologies. It is good to be home, however. I'd post the photo of the x-ray but I can't get the doc's office to forward it. But this is a pretty good approximation of what mine looks like.

Also, sometime tomorrow I'll post the full last set of photos, some of which are hilarious, with the right context. Dad even shot a few videos, too, so there will be plenty of laughter, as well.

hope surgery goes well and recovery is quick! screw the blogging :)

Tina November 11, 2011 - 8:14pm

...but, but what the hell happened to cause such damage?

Heal quickly, and as stated above, screw the blogging.

docbradd November 11, 2011 - 9:23pm

Ouch!

I hear that's really painful.

Lesly November 11, 2011 - 9:48pm

Nasty. Speedy recovery!

Moon must be in wrong phase. Signed on only to say I wouldn't be online for awhile. Totalled my car & broke my arm last week, had surgery yesterday.
Typing lefty sucks but you just concentrate on getting better. The Agonistas will hold the fort. Ask the Brunette to smuggle in a fifth of Scotch.

It is always better to leave the driving to the locals...especially if you have never ridden a motorcycle before in the idyllic setting of American roads.

Bad decisions make good stories, though. ;) I have a few too.

Hope you feel better. Think of other things, reflect on your good memories there and elsewhere.

I hauled more than one friend to an emergency room after they fell from a bucking horse, landing shoulder first.

The pain is excruciating and the surgery is one of the worst, especially if they have to reach in a pull your shoulder blade back into place.

I did inhale.

Broke several bones but shoulder was worst I ever felt. Wife's rotator cuff was so bad they couldn't do arthro - she had open surgery last November, still has pain. Just hope they can do SPK without hitting the big nerve.

SP, 1st things 1st - get healed.

SP underestimated his dad's physical strength before picking a fight with him! :)
Get well soon, man...

...go well. Then you can meet (if you haven't already) the oddest combination of perk, compassion and directed sadism in the medical sphere - the physiotherapist.

you might see a few pictures of him on his way back to the US of A, making the best of a bad situation.
