When I went to Jakarta, we flew China Air, which routes from LAX over the Pacific, then down just east of Japan, to Taipei. I looked out the window in the early morning as we were passing Japan, and I thought I saw a huge cloud glowing in the dawn. Turned out it was Mount Fuji!
