Republican Chutzpah!

Leave it to Republican pollster Frank Luntz to try and reframe the debate using nothing but lies and chutzpah:

If there is one thing we can all agree on, it's that the bad decisions and harmful policies by Washington bureaucrats that in many ways led to the economic crash must never be repeated," Luntz wrote. "This is your critical advantage. Washington's incompetence is the common ground on which you can build support."

Last time I checked, it was the banksters themselves and the intense risks they took which led directly to the Banking Crisis of 2008. But hey, what do I know, I just live in reality, I don't make it!

The Republicans are going to eat Obama's lunch on this.

Well, and to the extent that policies of Washington bureaucrats led to the crash they were the policies of Washington's Republican bureaucrats.

If the 'enemy combatant' label was applied on the basis of how much damage people can cause to the United States, Luntz would be in Gitmo by now.

If I were Frank Luntz that's the tag I would plaster on every single Republican politician and candidate. This is a party that not only produces failure after failure when it is governing, it tries to bring out even more failure when it is in the opposition because it can't vote yes on anything.

Of course, Frank Luntz only works for Republicans, so it is up to us to define the Republican Party in simple terms the public can understand. The Party of Failure: 9/11, Katrina, Iraq, health care, the financial crisis, the deficit, torture and loss of civil liberties....on and on. I could write the television commercial myself, this is so obvious.
