Policy Suggestion For The TSA

I have a new policy suggestion for the TSA that will prevent future bombers of the sort that attempted to bring down the plane on Christmas Day: everyone flies nude.

It's simple and quite elegant.

As a side note: I'm glad I've discovered alternative methods of travel. I haven't decided yet where I am going in July: Indonesia, Istanbul or south to the Tierra Del Fuego, but the good news is if I head south, I do so on a bus. If I head to Indonesia or Istanbul I can take a container ship.

I do realize both these methods require a great deal more time than most travelers have. So, fly naked.

If you are looking for a more serious critique, well, read Bruce.

... and one I have long championed.

Not only that but the carriers should embrace the money making potential. The idea is that shy passengers would have to pay for each item of clothing they wish to wear. An added bottom line enhancer is also possible. Those disease infested blankets and pillows stewardesses presently distribute free on long flights could, in future, be rented at a premium, and by the hour or portion thereof.

My alternative recommendation is that all nude passengers be injected with a deep sleep inducing drug while in the boarding area, then placed onboard in stackable racks. While greatly increasing the number of paid passengers per flight, this could also significantly cut costs by eliminating cabin heating and all meals while reducing or eliminating the need for cabin crew.

Ah ha. Good points. But there you see the reasoning behind the rent-a-blanket suggestion. You need not necessarily rent this item for yourself, but insist that it be used by your unsightly nekkid fellow passenger.

But your subject line has given me an idea. Here's a slogan for the security intensive new airline "Bare Air", where even lawsuits are not allowed.
