First India Moment Arrived Last Night

I had my first 'India Moment' last night as I was pulling out of Bangalore City Station to Hampi. Pretty much just lost it. I knew one was coming. Funny thing is, I doubt any of the Indians on the train even noticed. I mean, if they can ignore naked, blue faced sadhus walking down the streets begging they can certainly ignore a raving mad, foaming at the mouth white man. Right?

And Bangalore is a fucking pit.

I didn't have this happen, but I stayed in Delhi in 2000. I only visiting other sites like Agra, but didn't stay overnight. Agra was certainly one of the poorest areas of the world I've been to, but I just went with the flow of anything that happened.

So what set it off?

I remember vividly my India moment...midday sun, brains fried, heavy pack and not being allowed to get on the empty bus where it had unloaded. I had to walk across the vast parking lot to the official loading dock for the same vehicle. Such a little thing.

Pink rag doll twitching in the mid day sun,
ticket walla clinically analyzes the rage,
the perfect combination of buttons finally pushed.
Ahhh. Release it and let it go.
Otherwise it will kill you.
