"I'm Busy."

"So, why haven't you done what I requested," my buddy asked via gmail chat.

"I've been busy," I replied. "Always busy in India."

"Whatcha been doing then?"

"Nothing."

"I thought you were busy?"

Ocean View"I am. I have little time for anything."

"But you said you were doing nothing?"

"That's right."

"So why don't you get busy?"

"I am."

"What are you doing?"

"Nothing."

"What?!?"

"Huh?"

"I'm confused."

"I can tell."

"First you say you're too busy. Then you say you're doing nothing. And then that you don't have time for anything. Am I missing something?"

"No," I reply. "You've put it quite succinctly."

"Okay, so you'll help me out?"

"Maybe."

"Maybe?"

"Yes."

"Yes, you'll help, or yes, maybe?"

"Correct."

"What?!?"

"Huh?"

"Are you on drugs?"

"No, decidedly not."

"Then what's wrong with you?"

"I told you, I'm busy."

"But you're doing nothing!!!"

"Exactly. It's hard work!"

particularly when I am traveling or waking up in the morning or working . . .

. . . time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time . . . anyone that does not understand the concept of "look, I am busy [wasting time]."

I got it. Give me an excuse and I will waste some time. And, SP, in 2 months, I will be busy in Ukraine wasting time drinking beer. I know you will be busy.
