Now That's Gotta Hurt

Scotty McClellan endorses Obama? Damn, that's got to absolutely sting. At this stage of the campaign, can anyone foresee anything but an Obama win? Of course, I'm kind of in a weird bubble over here, but damn, the polls are high and getting higher, McCain is making a gaffe a day and Palin is now widely seen as the train wreck we all knew she was. What could possibly turn this around for McCain other than a terrorist attack (which might backfire a la Spain) and/or an attack on Iran?

and that's a nice spot right now.

Scott's "defection" has been a done deal ever since his book came out.
Biden is also making a gaffe a day.

You're away from the ugly red underbelly of hate, bubbling all around
radio, internet, TV.

As far as I know, crystal-ball gazing is still hockum. "Hope", on the other hand, is a good place to be.

What could possibly go wrong, go wrong, go wrong?........

We don't know the extent of voter turnout/suppression, of Obama's likeability, ,of private fears about race, religion or housing, market, taxes or experience, reactions to the continuing-to-be-very-scarey-over here market meltdown etc.and their effects inside the voter booth, or any last minute Rove "surprise".

This election and its environment is not like Clinton's in 1992.

Let's first get Obama back from Hawaii safely.

Posing the question like this about a Democrat is, as my rightly superstitious Irish mother would have said, "asking for it". After the last two presidential elections, I wouldn't do it.
