Irony Of Ironies

It took a Liberal Democrat born in New York to save capitalism from socialism in the US during the Depression and fascism in WWII. And it took a Conservative Republican born in Connecticut to wreck capitalism and replace it with creeping national socialism.

Talk about irony.

Nota bene: And no, George W. Bush is no more a Texan than FDR was. He was born in Connecticut, educated at elite Eastern Schools and only 'went south' for purposes of wealth and political opportunism like his brother. So, enough badmouthing Texas. We're all Americans and all in this together.

were the bad parts.

Matter of fact, he's the worst of both worlds. An arrogant elitist yankee with the crude cocky manners, accent and speech of a Texas red neck.

I did inhale.

I'm none too fond of North Texas Texans, but I really detest ersatz Texans.

I lived in NC. (Moved from NY) Into Old Raleigh. Old as in Old South. Really the nicest people I've had as neighbors.

I moved to TX. Hard adjustment.

NY (upstate). Nice. Up till NC one of my favourites. My impression at the time was that Upstate NY was poor (so was NYC at the time in the late '70s).

CA. Busy. Always busy.

ZA - remembered fondly though a filter.

I have coined the new acronym for the Snobama crowd. Y.E.S Men. I have lived in the South all of my life. People should visit and take notes then return to where they live and apply the lessons learned. They lessons they learn are called manners. The YES crowd should learn them.
