Pakistan threatens to retaliate against US

I wonder if anyone in Washington is paying attention?

"Border violations by US-led forces in Afghanistan, which have killed scores of Pakistani civilians, would no longer be tolerated, and we have informed them that we reserve the right to self defense and that we will retaliate if the US continues cross-border attacks," Khan said in an exclusive interview with Press TV.

As if we didn't have enough to worry about. Hey, I got a great idea, let's accidentally start a war with Pakistan, a very unstable country, with no real leader and nukes. Great idea!

Since the Pakistani's threaten to retaliate and the US is part of a larger NATO force does this mean NATO will defend US troops and strike out at Pakistan? But then would Karzai, who is really upset with the US's rather indiscriminate bombings (redundent, eh?) of Afghans, join forces with the Pakistanis? Sounds like two weeks worth of strips for Doonesbury. Meanwhile non-combatants keep dieing and children learn to HATE even more.
