Public Diplomacy Meet Dow 36,000One would think that after the miserable failure of Karen Hughes' term running the Public Diplomacy shop at State the President might aim higher the next go around. Apparently he's done so: 36,000 high enough? It really is a slap in the face to the career people in the PD shop, not too mention another indicator that this president doesn't care much about the real work of diplomacy, what George Schulz called 'garden work.' Take a look at Glassman's bio and you'll see what I'm talking about. He's the guy that brought us 'Tech Central Station,' the intenet's version of AEI and National Review all rolled into one. What next? Henry Blodgett as Secretary of the Treasury? Rubber Hose has more. The Newshoggers have some more, too and so does Yglesias. Sean Paul Kelley December 11, 2007 - 5:34pm
