Repeat After Me:

"The rich get richer and the middle class gets hosed."

The measure that stalled in the Senate was endorsed by the House four weeks ago, 216 to 193. It would freeze the alternative minimum tax and replace the lost revenue by ending tax breaks for private equity funds, hedge funds and other partnerships. But Republicans oppose that approach, and the procedural rules of the Senate make it possible for them to derail the measure.

And Mitch McConnell is a wanker:

Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the Republican minority leader, said the rhetoric and maneuvering of recent days show that Democrats are not serious about protecting middle-class taxpayers unless "they raise taxes on a lot of other Americans."

His definition of a lot is really screwed up. He needs a dictionary, and a lesson from Inigo Montoya.

He got the meaning right, the reporter got the spelling wrong - he said "Lott".
