More Hillary Crap

Sorry but I have to chime in on this post about Hillary Clinton over by Kos.

As General Petraeus prepares to testify before Congress next week, it is clear that the increase in U.S. troops in Iraq has simply not led to political reconciliation in Iraq. Rather than continuing the escalation, we must begin the immediate redeployment of U.S. troops out of Iraq, in order to end this war as soon as possible. I continue to support legislative efforts requiring the Administration to begin to withdraw our troops and to complete the redeployment of combat troops in 2008, and I encourage the Congressional leadership to ensure that we will have an opportunity to vote for such legislation.

The President continues to reject the findings of the National Intelligence Estimate, the Government Accountability Office report and the Jones Commission report, refuses to work with Congress to develop a strategy that will enable our troops to start coming home, and stubbornly denies the reality on the ground and the will of the American people.

We will continue to press him to follow the will of the people. I will continue to do everything in my power to convince the President to change course and to work with my colleagues in the Senate to bring an end to this war as soon as possible.

You want to know why this is a crap comment? One word: convince.

Senator Clinton. This is bullshit. You are a United States senator. You have the power to force the president of the United States of America to bend to your will, the will of the US Senate, if you so choose.

But you do not. You triangulate.

Stop it, men and women are dying because of it.

nobody is more owned by global interests than Hillary.

They are singing the Halleluja chorus in Heaven over that one!

proves that "nobody is more owned by global interests than Hillary"?

Connect the dots for the more simple-minded of us, please.

She's owned by the maple syrup lobby. You only *think* she has Maine's best interests at heart - in reality, she owes everything she is to us Northern bastards. Sold out to the oil interests? Pfft. A cover story for pikers - Saudi Light Crude has nothing on Canadian No. 1 Extra Light. That's the real power.

"combat troops." She says just "troops" everywhere else, but then when mentioning redeployment slips "combat" in front of it.

Bill Richardson just had an editorial on withdrawal. It is quite clear though it does not exactly explain what will happen to the Kurds.

Let us see how the others position themselves.

... we aren't leaving and I believe Hillary is well aware of it.

I'm tired of hearing smart people ignore what's right in front of their face. What is it? Has the flouride in the water that you've been drinking your whole life really destroyed your ability to reason? Maybe it's the public education system and massive and concentrated propaganda you're all sujected to from birth. Your entire Senate and Congress is ineffectual and corrupt. They could care less about what the "American people" want. Just like the american people could care less about the war, UNLESS it begins to negatively effect their daily lives. This is the end of America, today, right now. It's all your fault.

It's pathetic. There's a candidate running for president right now who is speaking the truth and talking about true American ideals, and few people are warming to him because "He doesn't have a chance." Absolutely incredible! He's the only chance you all have for avoiding becoming a total police state and possibly a nation of over-educated concentration camp prisoners. 9/11 happened SIX YEARS AGO and people are JUST NOW BEGINNING to wake up to the reality of their present day existence! Some people STILL think it was really 19 arabs with knives that flew the planes. And they STILL think the buildings "collapsed". You are the joke of the world, but it's a sad joke.

You'd think that the people who frequent this site would be capable of more independent and analytical thought. If you had a responsible government, they would be thinking about HOW to solve the coming social security/medicaid/medicare crisis, how to solve the growing education problem, how to stop the drug problem (war on drugs was really just a war on the poor), and also crafting a realistic and effective energy policy. Instead, you have a brutal and delusional government that is in the process of sacrificing its own citizens in the name of empire. Funny how history never repeats itself, but it always rhymes over and over again.

I think we all know how this game will end, and it's gonna happen in your lifetime. Congratulations, American.

By all means join the discussion but please leave the attitude off the keyboard. We really do not need someone else to tell us HOW or WHAT to think, what the hell do you think the MSM media and politicians are for? ;)

Tina September 8, 2007 - 2:08pm

c'mon give us one of your good smilies, these tired eyes thought you were actually insulted the first time thru.

dk September 9, 2007 - 7:18am

apologize for the attitude... besides, this isn't the place to be fighting that battle anyway.
