. . . veteran AP reporter George Gedda sat through his last State Department gaggle today. I've listened to (and read the transcripts of) a lot of these State gaggles over the years and Gedda was an incredible fount of knowledge. He was a sharp questioner too, as his last question today makes clear:
MR. GEDDA: I want you to know that it strains credulity for you folks to describe the last 175 diplomatic meetings as being fruitful and useful. They couldn't possibly have all been fruitful and useful.
He'll be missed.
