Ciro Up On Early Votes?

Can this be right? Ciro is up almost ten percent on the early votes?

More here and here and great commentary here.

Update: KT is right. Ciro winning the early vote is huge news and very bad for Bonilla.

Update 2: Gap narrowing to 7% with 21% reporting. This is going to be interesting.

Update 3: Back up to 11% now, with 36.7% of precincts reporting. Note: the last poll had this race at 51% Bonilla to 47% for Ciro.

Update 4: With 55% of the vote in at 56% Ciro to 43% Bonilla (wow!), and most of Bonilla's strong counties reporting BOR is calling the race for Ciro Rodriguez, who, if he wins will extend the Democratic majority in the House by one more vote. Just got word from inside sources here in Bexar County. Bonilla's numbers came in real bad. It's over. Ciro's has done the impossible, run in two Congressional elections in one year and won!

Jeez, Louise, it looks like an effing massacre right now. 67% reporting with Ciro at 57% and Bonilla at 42%. The ad that Henry Bonilla ran killed him. It's so over the top that even the conservative guys at my station disliked it. Now that's bad!

novy1.gifFinal Update: The AP and the Houston Chronicle call it for Ciro. So does the San Antonio Express-News. Take that Tom DeLay, indeed.
