I intend to play clips from this on the radio over and over and over again Wednesday night as a reminder to all people that when you elect someone ignorant and incurious about the larger world and foreign policy the results are tragic. Watch it and weep or click on the photo.

Yes, the Ken Lay and Jeffrey Skilling Administration. Unchecked arrogance an all consuming faith in the power of PR and short-term partisan political tactics masquerading as crisis management.

Even the Godfather of modern conservatism is abandoning Bush. What does that tell you?

but his essays are still the heart of the arguement for neocons and his magazine is still their flagship. I used to watch firing line when I was too young to see anything wrong with it: thats what my folks watched. I learned vocabulary!

When a political movement has heart disease, does it know it? does it go to the doctor? Maybe it just drops dead?

assume that Buckley's statements mean anything that is useful to us. The 'conservative movement' may just be looking for a new leader, not having an internal crisis. The next leader, if they get the chance, may be just like Bush only more extreme.
