Tax-Cuts And Treason

I really thought that we had moved pass the whole, "if you don't support the president then you're a traitor" thingy. Boy, that was stupid of me.

Get this: Sen. Wayne "Whiny" Allard says Russ Feingold is "siding with the terrorists" because of his motion to censure Bush. Scoundrel? Last refuge? How about plain ol' pathetic.

Anyhow, the Republicans really are scraping the bottom of the barrel now, aren't they? Bush's approval ratings are 34%, the pre-war State Department plans to fix post-war Iraq have been FOIA'd and the Republicans don't have anythying to campaign on other than tax cuts and treason.

I know there is more to America than tax-cuts and treason, right?

...they just authorized themselves to spy on a political opponent with FISA oversight approval. 'National Security', you know.

Is it just me? One of the president's closest advisors got picked up for shoplifting. The VP accidently shoots a guy in the face and hushes it up including from the police. A lot of Republicans, very important officials in the Congress and Republican party are in trouble for corruption. The VP's chief of staff is in legal trouble over the Plame-gate and possibly the President's chief of staff.

Is all this just Republicans having some fun? I mean, is it just everybody is a crook?

My Dad used to say, "The politicians? Why they are just all a bunch of crooks." I would say, "Dad, come on, give me a break, not all of them are crooks." He would answer, "Nope, they are all crooks." "OK Dad, sure what ever you say", was my thinking. He was right? Ah God, I dissed him but he was right? Jeez.
