Sanger Chronicles, Part 2

Jeffrey over at Arms Control Wonk does a nice dissection/deconstruction of the original article on nulcear tests in Korea and this article, an update of sorts, on mixed signals, some of which Sanger missed (omitted) the first time around.

I don't just bring this up because I dislike David Sanger's work, I bring it up because the negotiations ongoing with North Korea are critical to our national security and it is essential that they be reported as accurately as possible. Misleading information might result in their unraveling and possibly a renewed hard line on Korea. Rice and Hill are to be appluaded for creating this new effort and atmosphere (Rice and Hill have worked very hard behind the scenes to sideline the hardliners and give a serious, concerted effort at negotiations a real chance) and the degeneration of it into renewed vitriol would not be in our, or the Korean's best interests.
