"Fulltime employed and have not been unemployed in 2009 but took one or more pay cuts"

another 5 possibilities, so decided to try and keep it 'simple'.

Just one pay cut. However it was an across the board - everyone from CEO to the service staff - flat 5%. A friend who works for a major newspaper took a 12% pay cut - everyone.

especially the employed numbers. Does it mean the posters here are better educated or, or, or what? Gee, one poll raises many questions begging another poll. OMG, they're here; the pollergeists, ahhhhhh! ;)

I will be out of work in 2010 and I'm being paid to stay home since Nov.

Ok this is what I am saying to everyone. The Drupal CMS (which runs Agonist) is taking off in a big way and all the shops around town doing Drupal are totally booked up. I am designing myself (plug :) and keep getting leads. You don't have to be some whizbang coder, there is plenty to be done for configs, theming, etc etc, and you can make good social networks and other cool multi-user sites. Drupal 7 (release Q1 2010) will be able to talk to lots of different database types.

Oh yeah also they just switched over the White House. Beat that Wordpress!!!

(I lost my job in July and went into my own venture :)

The retirees are obviously skewing the results. In any event when you are unemployed you are generally 100% unemployed. Had an interview today. It started with, "oops, my assistant made a mistake, you are vastly overqualified." The problem is she was right.

I had to choose "Unemployed now, but had employment earlier in 2009" but it's not true. I was laid off in Oct 2008 and have not had employment since. My husband was also laid off in Oct 2008 (unrelated company, just an unlucky coincidence) and also has not found employment since. Unemployment may be 10.2% or whatever nationwide, but in our household, it's 100%.
