This is not so much the Pentagon as the Congress Critters who are getting big bucks from defense contractors. The congress continually gives the Pentagon stuff they don’t want.

This reminds me of the 70s when I was an analyst for the DIA. We knew the Soviet Union was collapsing but you would never know that from the rhetoric coming out of DC – they had to justify that defense pork.

To be fair while there is some hypocrisy on the part of Capt Ed and other conservatives Nick Gillespe and the folks at REASON were opposed to it from the get go and it was the REASON video that started it all.
