Lieberman On Iran

Some enterprising journalist in DC or Connecticut needs to ask Joe Lieberman, point blank, yes or no, if he is the sole Democratic member of Congress Sy Hersh mentions in this article.

In recent weeks, the President has quietly initiated a series of talks on plans for Iran with a few key senators and members of Congress, including at least one Democrat. A senior member of the House Appropriations Committee, who did not take part in the meetings but has discussed their content with his colleagues, told me that there had been ”œno formal briefings,” because ”œthey’re reluctant to brief the minority. They’re doing the Senate, somewhat selectively.”

Do your jobs and ask the question. Who’s being briefed and who isn’t?

Update: Seems someone else thought of this first. Still, it’s a darned good idea.

  • I propose that if we ever have a Democratic President and Congress, then in the true spirit of ‘bipartisanship’ we share information with Bernie Sanders.
