US Federal budget boiled down to household level

From GEAB N°59.

In terms of the amounts at stake, a quick calculation by a USreader of GEAB gives some sense of how much the “efforts” undertaken to reduce the budget deficit are ridiculous in relation to the needs : Treating the US federal budget as that of a household, things become abundantly clear. Simply remove 8 zeros for budget that comes to mean something for the average citizen:

Annual household income (income tax): + 21,700
Family expenses (federal budget): + 38,200
New credit card debt (new debt): + 16,500
Past credit card debt (federal debt): + 142,710
Budget cuts already made: - 385
Budget reduction targets of the Supercommittee (for one year): - 1,500

to run the basement counterfeit currency operation: + 3,100
Amount printable on that paper and ink: - 68,400
Profit from family business (a bank) IPO offering: - 92,300
Foreclosing on the kids businesses because they missed payments -234,200

International finance is a huge game. If the game goes "bust" they change the rules in the middle of the game or they start a new game with totally different rules.

Stick with the realities like we need to switch from oil and gas as fast as possible before the physical rules of reality shut us down. The financial parts are just ways to keep certain cats fat. Don't get caught up in paying mind to them. When push comes to shove those rules get changed real fast.
