My Dad's favorite group, along with CSNY, when I was a kid. I'll always remember their performance of 'Light One Candle', with a choir from NYC...brings tears even today---especially today...
Downloaded the .ISO of the 32-bit version yesterday (A site noted on C-Net managed to get the .ISOs before Microsoft's site went down from the sheer volume of access requests).
First Impressions:
It was easy to install, even in my environment (Parallels Desktop for Mac virtual session). The installer started *much* faster than Vista, and installed much faster than Vista. The Install doesn't appear to set up Network connectivity (at least mine didn't)...so be prepared to go into Control Panel->Network and Sharing Center to configure your connection.
...and it cracked me up. Granted, I doubt everybody will be as amused as I was (both for the take-off of the movie, and the general theme), but better to see than not.
*NO* -- This has been another edition of simple answers to simple questions.
(slightly longer response)--Even though I value the contribution of the Times, and its demise could further certain monopolists (*cough*Murdoch*Cough*), limiting further the flow of useful information, I still believe businesses should sink or swim on their own merits. Subsidy would end up allowing mediocrity to rule in an organisation that needs excellence.
Looks like the Speaker doesn't want to hear from us pee-ons either.
I think maybe it's time I walked away from this $#!+hole and became a citizen of my wife's nation. At least there, they're up-front about corruption, and the Press enjoys reporting it, as compared to hiding it (As they do here).
I'm so disgusted and angry now it's hard to think straight.....
How about giving the US military a 2-month break in their duties at the same time the Iraqi parliament takes its 2-month break?
Sounds like a winner to me....no dangerous patrols, no IEDs, just stay on-base and repair equipment and re-arm, while the Iraqi parliamentarians run for their irresponsible little lives.....
