Why are Republicans Such WATBs?

The usual ignorant, right-wing whiny-ass titty babies are in full throated much ado about nothing: this time it's the President of the United States' address to school children, urging them to do well in school. This is a speech that presidents give -- both GOP and Dems have done it.

Of course, if our President were white and Republican, there'd be no problem -- these same vomit-dribbling jerks would be urging all of us to respect the presnit and make our children listen to his words of wisdom. And, of course, these are the same folks who just cream their tighty whities over the idea of forcing other people's children to pray in school, regardless of what those children's parents might want for them.

But hey -- it's a new, racist day in America -- when thuggish, pasty white folks can get their knickers in a knot over a President's innocuous speech to school children. Respect for the current President? In the view of right-wing 'Murka, that's impossible... although, when a GOPper was president, all you heard these assholes screech about was "respeeeeectttt the preznit!!!" (As their only preznit got us into a godawful, illegal war through the force of lies and deception.)

These know-nothing bigots are afraid President Obama might get political. Apparently getting political is ooohhhkayyyy if you're a Republican. Saint Ronnie got political with kids in the 80s and you hear nary a word about THAT. Why, the GOPpers' big hero -- ol' aWol himself was reading to school kids on 9/11... and they thought he was a hero.

But, let our current president do what other presidents have done -- that is, give a nice encouraging speech to school kids, and suddenly the right-wing lace panty brigade can't stand it. they're screeching like two-year-olds with doughy pantloads. "Boycott!!," they yell. "Hide the children from the darkie! Don't teach them how to respect the president anymore... don't tell our kids anything we don't want them to hear -- even if it IS "Study hard and do good in school.""

According to these fainting-couch, pearl-clutching prissies, President Obama might be giving out a coded message... oh gawd... we can't have that. (What that code might be is a head-scratcher. But, you know, these WATBs find code in everything... which is why their actions are really racist code in action.)

GAh!!!!!!! You know, you GOP wusses -- sometimes a speech to school kids urging them to do good in school is just that. Nothing more, nothing less. So, calm the frick down and save your full-throated yelling for things that matter -- like the body bags coming home from Saint George's Illegal War.

GOP=GOTCHA

It's official. The GOP has become the party of GOTCHA -- Grand Old Thugs Crapping on and Hating America. GOTCHA.

What's this with the disruption of town halls? Why do GOPpers fear having Americans hear two sides of the health care story? Why do these politicians -- who have gold-plated insurance coverage, led by people like Rush Limbaugh (whose insurance pays for oxycontin and Viagra so he can go rape little boys in foreign countries) -- continue to lie and mislead and disrupt?

Why do they hate America? Why are they pissing on the millions who have died to protect America? Why do they advocate assassination of our president and other non-GOP politicians? Why are they racist thugs? Why are they sexist, misogynist, religious bigots? And why do they have a voice? Well, they have the right to say and believe as they wish. The troops die for GOTCHAs to be the lying, thuggish jerks they are making themselves out to be in front of our eyes.

I have changed my voter affiliation -- as of Monday, I will no longer be an unaffiliated voter. I don't want any GOTCHA, GOPer thug to think he speaks for me. Better to be allied with people who don't advocate force and violence as a way to disrupt democracy -- and I have yet to see a Dem say or do anything near as bad, fascist, hateful, racist, sexist, and anti-American as these GOTCHA traitors are doing at the town halls and meeting houses across America.

An Open Letter to Sarah Palin

Dear Sarah,

A lot of people in this country have to answer tough questions every day. You might even call them "gotcha" questions, and you'd be right. But guess what: life IS a gotcha. You've been handed a powder puff and are whining about how it's a bomb, set to detonate you and your precious campaign. You may be right about the bomb, but nobody handed it to you. You made it yourself.

You have NO clue about reality. So here... let me show you some REAL gotcha questions -- the kind that somebody like you has NEVER had to answer.

For women who can't make enough money to raise their kids, asking the question "Which do I pay for, groceries or the heating bill?" is a big gotcha.

For a woman faced with a life-threatening disease, the question "Where do I get help or health insurance?" is a gotcha.

For women who have worked at low-paying jobs for years, passed over for raises or promotion, the question, "Do I stay here and get a sure paycheck or hope I can find something better elsewhere?" is a gotcha.

For older people who have to subsist on meager Social Security, and for whom a 401K would be a luxury, the question, "What do I eat tonight: dog food or starve?" is a gotcha.

For a woman who has been raped -- who has been forcibly held down and beat up while some asshole spread her legs and did the deed without her permission, the question, "Will I be treated fairly in court when I report this rape?" is a gotcha. As is the question for the women in Wasilla, AK, "Can I afford the rape kit?"

For people who have to work two or more jobs to make ends meet, and have NO benefits, no protections, the question, "How will I make ends meet?" is a gotcha.

There are many more gotchas that we all face in this country every day. But unlike you, we don't have the luxury of Republican attack dogs to run interference for us and pretend that a softball question about what newspapers we read is an attack, a gotcha, some kind of an elitist insult.

We don't have the luxury of being whiny-ass titty babies and complaining about how the "press is censoring me" when it turns out we are confronted with questions that are FAR more important than the one you apparently couldn't answer about the frickin' media you read.

Get REAL Sarah Palin. We're not stupid out here in America. We can see through your foot-stomping pouts. We are the people who have to answer the tough questions life hands us every day. And that is what makes any stand-up working woman or man immediately more experienced than you. Your refusal to give straight answers makes a mockery of all the people who face more tough questions each minute of their lives than you have ever faced.

If the sum total of your answers to ANY question is an ugly pout and a reliance on RNC attack dogs to cover your ass, then Sarah Palin, you have NO business running for office. You can't answer a powder puff question about what you read, and it was obvious that despite being a journalist, you had NO clue about newspapers or magazines. What the hell DID you learn at that J school you attended? It sure as hell wasn't journalism. Let's not even get into the question about Supreme Court decisions. here's a gotcha for ya: If you can't name those, how the HELL do you expect anybody to take you seriously as an American public servant?

So, Sarah -- stop whining about the press. Stop pissing and moaning about how you are the "new" energy, when in fact you are a very old, very dangerous energy: the energy of unbridled ignorance and prideful spite. Stop twisting around useless words in that pig-lipsticked mouth of yours in the hope that something (anything) that falls out of your lips might sound convincing. That's the gambit of a failing student, not an experienced public figure. Cramming for a debate or to become VP of the US isn't an all-nighter. It requires work and years of experience, none of which you have. And, as you may have noticed, we've HAD a C-student in the White House for 8 years. We don't need a D student as Veep for the next four. And that's what you are. Every teacher in America should be able to recognize your type.

If you can't answer a question about what you frickin' read in the morning with your coffee -- something 99.9 percent of Americans can answer without hesitating -- you have NO business running for an office to lead a nation of people who have to (daily) answer questions of life and death. You just don't make the grade and you never will.

Sarah Palin -- Passing the Stink Test -- Yer Doin' it Wrong

John McCain's choice of a relatively unknown, inexperienced short-term governor of an unpopulous state on grounds that she's pro-life, creationist-loving, gay-hating, Christianist, and oh, a woman, is about as cynical as anything I've seen in 50 years of presidential politics. He passed over some extremely qualified, experienced people of both genders in order to be "mavricky" (leading me to think that he made this decision with his little head, not his big one).

So, I have some questions for Ms. Palin that need answering:

1) You say you are pro-life, which means that you are against a woman's right to manage her own health care choices in reproduction. Yet, you made a very serious choice to get on an airplane while in labor, endangering the life of a fetus you claimed to have wanted. You also endangered the lives of the people on that plane, since if your birth process had gone awry, an immediate landing would have been necessary. How can you insist on that sort of choice (which was wrongheaded, selfish and frivolous), yet deny other women the very serious choices they need to make for their own health? You apparently (along with most Christianist men) think that other women than yourself are too stupid to make their own choices.

2) You apparently do not believe in the science of global warming, yet you had amniocentesis to determine that you had a down's sydrome baby. Science is science, Ms. Palin. Why did you trust that one but you don't trust climate science, which is quite mature? Is it because your oiligarchic husband and all those people who contribute to your campaign coffers from oil companies might not like it if you did? Why do you pick and choose the science you trust?

3) What is it about Christianists like you who make decisions for other people without regard to their rights to decide for themselves what their lives should be? What part of the irony of "playing God" don't you get? And why can't you leave other people to live their lives as they see fit?

4) What part of your job qualifies you for the vice presidency if you don't even know what the vice-president does?

5) Why are you hiding emails that would implicate you in several serious corruption charges in Alaska?

6) Why have you removed a video of Ted Stevens endorsing you from your web site?

7) If you didn't believe in the Bridge to Nowhwere, why did you keep the money? Is it because you like getting MORE federal money than your state pays in taxes, thus taking money from other Americans in order to enrich your oil company friends?

8) Can you explain why your daughter missed so much school, looked pregnant, and suddenly reappeared after you had that baby? You hardly looked pregnant... is this indeed a miracle?

9) What sort of common cause do you have with women whose rights to their own medical care you want to take away for christianist purposes? Why do you hate gays and their rights to equality so much that you'd enshrine that hate in the Constitution?

10) Can you explain to this nation just why it is you think that the sole reason John McCain picked you as a running mate (i.e. your vagina) qualifies you for any more respect than what you received as a beauty queen?

I'm sure a lot of us are wondering about you. I, for one, don't see you breaking any glass ceilings. I see you reveling in what you think is your vaginal power (that is, shouting out that as a woman you're going to break a glass ceiling, when indeed, your power should be emanating from your brains not your nether regions), your egotistical insistence that YOUR Christianist religion is what will guide a nation that is NOT (despite all the lies of the Christian right) solely a Christian one, and that you feel that you have the right to usurp other Americans' rights to their own medical decisions, their own marital business, and frankly, their right to worship or not as they frickin damn well please.

You, Ms. Palin, do not deserve to be vice president. Not because of your gender, but because you don't have the experience. Period.

Republicans would never nominate a man with as few qualifications as you do (although somehow they think that Obama, who runs circles around you in every way that matters, is somehow less qualified than you -- a former beauty queen with less governing experience than some high school student body presidents). If they did, they'd be rightly laughed at. But, they somehow think that we are all so stupid that we'll vote for you because you're a woman... I just don't get it. It's cynical and a slap in the face of every woman of accomplishment in this country. You don't have what it takes... you just don't.

You aren't qualified and you don't even pass the stink test.

Breakdown of Moral Values under Bush Administration Rears its Ugly Head During Disasters (as usual)

CNN - Four soldiers and a reserve police officer were arrested Sunday on suspicion of looting cigarettes and alcohol from a store in this tornado-ravaged town, state officials said.

*****

I am not surprised this is happening; people in authority tend to abuse it, and now that we've seen how it was abused in New Orleans by the Bushites, the lower echelons who get their kicks by "officiating" in this way look to the Bush administration for guidance. What they see is corruption, looting (on a large scale), and disrespect for other people. So, they figure, what's a few cigarettes and booze? The guys in D.C. are getting all kinds of goodies, time for me to get mine.

Typical of the Republican breakdown, the loose flaunting of Rethug morality, and the downright disrespect for values.

Typical.

Word! Cindy Sheehan's Observations About Laura Bush's Dress Problems

From Common Dreams, via Fountains of Light.

A Woman's Worst Nightmare
By Cindy Sheehan
Dec 10, 2006, 4:00pm

On Friday, December 8th, after 4 and ½ long days, the jury in the trial of the "Pink 4," which includes me, Medea Benjamin, Gold Star Aunty Missy Beattie and Reverend Patty Ackerman, finally received our case for deliberation at about 2:30 PM. The judge summoned us back into the courtroom at 6:15 PM and we were excited for the verdict, only to learn that the jury had not yet reached their verdict and we would be staying in NYC until at least Monday when the jury would continue its deliberations on the 5 counts for each of us.

While we were awaiting our fates, we four dangerous peace women, found a copy of the New York Post which seems to me like a glorified National Enquirer. I was leafing through the rag when I saw a big picture of Laura and George. Laura was wearing one of the ugliest dresses I have every seen, and there, inset above the picture of the First Lady and her offensive husband, were photos of three other women wearing the same dress as Laura! Perusing the article I discovered that going to a party and having even one woman wearing the same dress as yourself is bad enough, but going to a party (especially in ones own home) and discovering three other women wearing your same dress is "a woman's worst nightmare!"

To begin with, I would think that someone married to GW would have enough problems to worry about and even more horrendous nightmares then sharing a hideous dress with someone else. Being the wife of the world's number one terrorist would give me pause. However, I just want to let the New York Post, Laura and the three other women who are in the one-half of one percentile of the country who are in George's "base" that are able to own an 8400.00 Oscar de la Renta, that showing up at a party with 3 women wearing the same dress is not a "woman's worst nightmare," and even though it has never (and will never) happen to me and I have never walked in their Prada slippers, had a polo pony go lame or known such humiliation, I suspect that I am, and will be living, a "woman's worst nightmare."

Yes Laura, et al, there are worse things than what happened at the White House Christmas party this past week. Ask the 25 American mothers who learned that their sons were killed this past week for your husband's lies and to put obscenely expensive and over the top (not to mention, unflattering) clothes on your backs. Ask the people who are being slaughtered in Iraq and can't even go buy groceries or attend services in their local places of worship without fearing being blown to a million tiny pieces bombs. Ask the prisoners who have been tortured at such gulags as Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib. Ask the millions of people who go to bed hungry or cold in our very own country every night while you are horrified that someone else found your dreadful dress appealing enough to plunk down over eight grand.

Before April 04, 2004, my greatest fear and nightmare was that one day I would have to bury one of my children. My children were and are my life. If one of them was late, or didn’t give us a timely phone call if they were out and not home in time, my heart would race and I would fear the worse. But the fears don't even approach reality. If a parent has not buried a child he/she cannot even come close to imagining what it is like. The actuality and reality of the unnatural and disordered act of a child dying before his/her parents is practically inconceivable.

I have nightmares every night. They should be good dreams. Every night, I toss and turn and dream of Casey at every a...from darling baby, to sweet toddler, to gangly boy-teen, to handsome soldier man. The dreams are not good or reassuring, because in every dream I know that I am experiencing my happy past and I have to live a dim future that is absent one of my children. However, Casey, and hundreds of thousands of other humans killed by BushCo, have no future and I wake up many times each night missing my boy so badly and aching for all the moms in the world whose lives have been upended by the villains in designer labels who yucked it up over the exploits of "Barney the wonder-dog" at the White House last week. I often marvel at how one person can endure so much pain and longing.

I wish all I had to worry about was a stupid dress and innocuous parties. But on that lovely, yet horrid, Palm Sunday in 2004, I was forced by BushCo to experience what is truly a "woman's worst nightmare," and due to their policies, I am, by far, not alone in this unrelenting suffering.

I am surviving a "woman's worst nightmare," and all I do, I do for other mothers and their children.

Time and again, I will struggle to keep our families intact and to protect them from the ruling elite of this world who think nothing of killing our children and destroying the world to be able to have their grand and glorious celebrations and enjoy their extremely ill-gotten booty.

No one wants my nightmares.

Use George Bush to Do Social Good

I had an idea while sitting here cleaning off my hard drive to get rid of a lot of useless stuff -- which kind of reminded me of George Bush. Every time this faux president opens his mouth, the most inane nonsense comes out, usually as he tries to sound all folksy and "down home." Pretty funny for a kid who went to school in the northeast, did Yale, hid from the Viet Nam war by chasing tail in 'Bama, but hey -- we all have our trials to overcome. Since Bush can't overcome his, it occurred to me that we could use his idiocy to do some social good.

Here's the idea: every time this phony country corn dog opens his mouth and says something really stupid, like purposely mis-stating the name of the Democratic Party (i.e. the 'Democrat' party), let's make a donation to a cause that helps people. Make it something he and his Rethug friends hate, like Planned Parenthood or a women's shelter, or Sierra Club or the Nature Conservancy, or something like that. Easy to do -- just listen to him talk, and when he says "Democrat Party" or "chilrun" or "we don't cut and run" (although the Rethugs in Congress and the Senate ARE cutting and running NOW, leaving behind a HUGE mess for the incoming Democrats to clean up), make that donation. The more he missteps, the more he mumbles, the more he deliberately insults people, the more money goes to help those his administration is screwing over.

Just Remember: Saddam Hussein had NOTHING to do with 9/11.

Certainly he was a twisted, evil person when he ruled Iraq, but he had nothing to do with 9/11. Nor Al-Qaeda.

This sideshow of a trial is just what Rethugs want people to think about, rather than focus on the fact that they've done NOTHING about the 9/11 attacks except take away Americans' rights, hassle us at airports, tried to frighten people with Arab "boogiemen," authorized obscene torture in the name of America, tossed billion-dollar contracts at companies to "serve" our servicepeople (and instead those companies are pocketing the money and giving our service people sewer water and substandard food), and other assorted bullshit that has nothing to with capturing Osama bin Ladin and taking on Al Qaeda directly. Taken in this context, Hussein's trial and execution should be a sideshow, not the main event.

So, if you hear sheeple saying that Hussein's trial will make us safer and his death will avenge 9/11, call bullshit (or shenanigans) on that meme. It's not true, but the GOP Kool-ade servers will be dishing it out in force, all the while accusing Americans who vote their conscience of being terrorists.

People who continue to support our corrupt Rethug administration may just well be the enemy these Rethugs are seeking; just remember that when you point the finger of accusation at somebody, three fingers are pointing back at you. This is a lesson you'd think the Rethugs would have learned...

This is how Rethugs Want to Reframe the Truth

I just got a call from a relative in Colorado. She is a Republican and claims that since Democratic candidate for governor and former District attorney Ritter "broke the law" by dealing with an illegal immigrant who subsequently went out to California and molested a child, it's okay for Bob Beauprez, Republican, who has used illegal access to the NCIC, a criminal records database only available to legal law enforcement, to inform an ad that paints Ritter soft on crime, to break the law in return because, as she said, "It gets us the truth." When I asked her what truth, she said "The truth about a man who let an illegal immigrant go so he could molest a child."

Funny that -- Republicans worried molesting children. I thought the case was about Beauprez breaking the law by digging into a protected criminal database in order to get cheap grist for his lying advertising. Apparently not, at least not if you dring the Rethug Kool-ade in Colorado.

The facts of the matter are that in the case Beauprez is breaking the law to report on (so that he can win the governorship, despite having NO experience in such matters) Ritter had to follow the law. He couldn't make up the law, or break the law, no matter what he personally may have thought of the case. That's called "Following the rule of law" and is something that Rethugs claim as their own voting point until it turns out that a Democrat is following the law and a Republican gets caught taking the law into his own hands (as Beauprez has done).

So, the Rethugs in Colorado have turned the law into something they can bend when it suits them (I suppose they see how nicely it works out for Rethugs in other states and in the White House), and they've now framed the language around it so that the whole race is about some illegal immigrant turned loose to molest a child. Like the Rethugs have such a good track record in protecting children from molesters (Paging Mark Foley!!). Sorry to point this out, Colorado Rethugs, but just because you accuse somebody else of breaking the law (and apparently Ritter didn't), it doesn't mean you get to take the law into your own hands and break it in "revenge." That way leads to anarchy and other things that this country is NOT built on.

Once again, the truth becomes a casualty when Rethugs are involved, and of course they will do or say anything to keep their base voting for them.

I notice in today's CNN.com that the 'thugs aren't going to keep Colorado for long:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/10/26/colorado.politics.ap/index.html

They're repulsing their traditional voting base pretty fast -- apparently if voters have enough lies, venom, and hate spewed out at them, posing as "campaign talking points" they get turned off. How long before Dobson and "Focus on the Anus" in Colorado Springs are also similarly turned out of the cozy nest they've feathered for themselves using other people's charity money and tax dollars? Not soon enough.

An Open Letter to "President" Bush:

I invite readers to send this letter to the White House, post it on your blogs. This issue affects us all, and our image as Americans around the world.

Dear W,

I read today and yesterday in the Boston Globe that secular aid organizations are less likely to receive funding for their overseas missions than are your friends in the "faith-based" community, most notably Dobson of "Focus on the Family."

The money these "faith-based" groups receive is a bonanza for them, allowing them to extend their missions (which are to give aid and help, but also to proselytize for Christianity -- evangelical Christianity). I can't help but wonder how much of that money is going to pay for the fancy cars, houses, silk suits, and jewelry worn by these slick-talking "Christians" and their wives.

How is it being spent by those organizations? Is there any accountability for the millions and billions of taxpayer dollars funneling into the pockets of Dobson and Graham and the others who are now treating the treasury as their own private source of funding?

How is the aid being given? Are hungry people being forced to witness for Christ before they can be fed? Are sick people being morally judged by evangelistic flunkies before their illnesses are being treated? Is the pride of an Islamic man being ground to dust when he asks for help for his ailing wife and newborn, and is told he must profess to believe in Jesus before he gets that help?

I have heard you say time and again that you respect other faiths (particularly Muslims), so I have to wonder just how respectful it is to give taxpayer money to evangelical Christian groups who then use it to go abroad and preach their brand of "Christianity" while offering food and medical care. Please explain to me and all the taxpayers whose money is sluicing into these "faith-based" groups just how it is that jamming Christianity down the throats of hungry, sick non-Christians is being respectful of them and their religion?

Is Christianity so feeble that it has to be used in a "carrot-and-stick" approach to get people to even learn about it? Or, Mr. President, are you merely dancing with them what brung you to the dance? Is it possible that this bonanza of riches for the Christian Right is merely payback for their votes and support? If so, you're rewarding a minority of people in this country, for most of us (faith-based or not) are horrified at the thought of using American dollars to dangle food and medical care in front of hungry sick people, and jerking it away if the recipients don't convert to Christianity.

Perhaps this funding issue is really just a cover-up for a massive transfer of taxpayer money into the pockets of televangelists, bigots, and faith-based promulgators of a radical brand of Christianity that seeks to destroy the separation of state and religion in this country and around the world?

I've read recently that the Taliban and Al-Quaeda have sluiced much money and aid to poor people in other countries, all the while preaching THEIR brand of religion. I often wonder if the televangelists and "Christian" grifters who have YOUR ear are seeking to do the same thing. This would make them, essentially, American Taliban, using religion as a dividing force, and not the tool for love and compassion that the Jesus Christ they claim to follow would have wanted them to do.

So, again, I ask you Mr. President. Just what is it that your administration is doing with taxpayer money and the "faith-based" organizations? Can you please tell us how much good our money has done overseas, being used (and most likely mis-used) by these American Taliban?

Millions of us of all races and creeds and genders are waiting for your answer.

Can You Really Trust the Grand Ol' Pervert Party any more?

Really. If they lie and coverup a child molester and stalker, who knows what else they have covered up and lied about?

This is a scandal larger than the Clinton antics in the White House (which were accomplished with a 22-year-old woman, not an underage child). Those antics were enough to bring out the full unctuous rage of the "Party of Values" - complete with Senator "I never met a health pill bribe I didn't like" Orrin Hatch" shaking his wattle at us in full, high dudgeon.

So, where's the wattle now that underage children have been stalked by a Republican man? Where's the outrage from the "Reverend" gentlemen who head up the Christian Right?

Yeah. Right. Deadly silence.

It's not outrage you're seeing from the Republicans and the Religious Right. It's chickenshit fear that they've gotten caught at doing what they've been doing all along: lying, conniving, cheating, doing whatever they could to keep power, all the while wrapping themselves in the flag and religious "values." Sheesh. Who'd want a piece of THEIR values now?

And, to think all it took was a horny GOP senator who couldn't keep his hands of the pages.

So, GOP-ers and soccer moms and "values" voters and Wal-Mart grannies and NASCAR dads -- who you gonna trust now that it turns out the GOP has turned out to be a party of perverts and liars?

Who you gonna trust your kids to? For those of you who have kids in Iraq, you gonna trust the GOP on that war your kid's dying in? What about all you folks who are using the tax cuts to line your kid's trust fund? You gonna trust a bunch of perverts? Honestly, if it comes down to a choice of staying in power or giving you tax cuts, what choice do you think these sleazebags will take in order to keep their seats?

There's an ill wind blowing in this country, and Republicanism is its name. If you voted GOP, you owe the rest of us an apology. A very profound one. This is what your "Gawd, grace, and tax cuts" party vote got for us: kids molested, kids dying in Iraq, and the Constitution and the Bill of rights turned upside down, government-sanctioned torture, and a bunch of power-hungry, horny legislators all out for number 1. All for pure, venal political power.

May they (and those of you voted for these chowderheads) all have the joy of each other in the afterlife.

Republican Stench

That stink you smell emanating from Washington, D.C.? It's not just Bush flushing our rights down a toilet. It's not just the smell of Abramoff's money lying on the desks of politicoes of the right. It's the whiff of sexual predation by a Republican who figured that underage pages were his prey. There's also a stench emanating from the filthy mouths of Republican apologists and others who even now are whining about some kind of Democrat conspiracy. It's so smelly that I can't even see the word Republican now without thinking "ugh." And that's unfortunate for the few (very few) decent Republicans out there (if there really ARE any). When I see the letters GOP I think "Grand Old Perverts."

Oh, the Pervert Wing is now whining about how it's all Clinton's fault, but weren't these sanctimonious shitheads the same ones who spent millions chasing down a blowjob and prosecuting the president for it? They conveniently forget that Clinton was getting his jollies with an adult woman, not an underage child.

Will the Pervert Wing now spend millions to investigate their own cover-up? I doubt it. They just haven't figured out that what their "man" Foley did (and what Hastert and all the other Pervert leaders did in covering up for Foley) is not only sick -- it's against the law.

Foley should be in jail, not cowering in an alcohol rehab unit whining that he was molested as a child. That's a total load of bullshit. Plenty of people were molested as children, but you don't see them all out sending horny instant messages to children. What Foley did is a crime -- and yet he is doing NO jail time. The Pervert Wing will see to it that he doesn't. And for that, they should all be sent packing as well.

One other thing -- just because you were molested as a child doesn't mean you get to break the law as an adult. It's not an excuse. It's a fact, but it's not an excuse. As soon as the Pervert Wing of the GOP comes around to accepting responsibility (and they're really big on having everybody ELSE accept responsibility because they love to lecture all us little people about being responsible, etc.) for the crimes they covered up, the the sooner they'll understand that the laws of this nation are supposed to be followed, not broken by perverts who think they're too big, too important, and too mighty to follow the same laws the rest of us do.

But then again, maybe the Grand Ol' Pervert Party doesn't get it, since their head pervert (the one in the White House with no morals and no discernable common sense) just simply ignores whatever laws he doesn't want to follow.

Monkey see, monkey do. And thus the Republican Perverts continue to generate stupidity in their stench-filled back rooms. It's not YOUR kids they're worried about. It's their own skanky asses.

Republicans May Not be Cut and Run

But that's because neither they nor their children have to fight in this senseless war. They've made it easy to suck in the children of the not-rich, not-white, not-privileged folk in this country, dragging THEM into a meatgrinder that they keep their own children out of. They've passed laws (like No Child Left Behind) that have put the names and addresses of America's children into the hands of rapists masquerading as military recruiters. And now, today, we read that Republicans also send emails to the children of Americans, sexually soliciting them.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/09/29/congressman.e.mails/index.html

I find it not very funny that the party of Lincoln has strayed so far into depravity that their leader can stand up and call all Americans who want us to be out of this war as "cut and run." It's not just Democrats who are against this war -- it's people of every political stripe in this country. But, to the man who was never elected, who never served his country in the military, and never hears from Americans in the mainstream, the war he is prosecuting in Iraq is yet another occasion to divide Americans, call them names, and continue to allow his fellow party members to rape America's children, send them to war, and then when they come back dead, hide the evidence.

How much longer are we going to put up with the vomit spewing from the Republican party and its corrupt administration?

Do you want to wait until YOUR child is molested by a recruiter? Approached by a horny Republican congressman for who knows what?

Bush's "No Child Left Behind" Brings Your Child's Personal Information to Child Molesters and Rapists: Another GOP Achievement

From Today's Boston Globe:

"MY DAUGHTER started high school last week. This milestone was marked by the arrival in our home of a ream of paperwork. Along with the usual bureaucratic permissions, I found tucked into this package a seemingly innocuous form that carries extraordinary consequences: failing to fill it out might result in my daughter being harassed, assaulted, or being fast-tracked to fight in Iraq.

This form asks us whether we want to opt-out of having our daughter's contact information sent to the US military. If we overlooked this form, or did not opt-out , our high school is required to forward her information to military recruiters. This is thanks to a stealth provision of the No Child Left Behind law. It turns out that President Bush's supposed signature education law also happens to be the most aggressive military recruitment tool enacted since the draft ended in 1973.

The military recruiting requirement of No Child Left Behind law has forced many schools to overturn longstanding policies on protecting student records from prying eyes. My local high school, like most in the country, care fully guards its student directory information from the countless organizations, businesses, and special-interest groups that are itching to tempt impressionable teens. Now, parents and schools are being shoved aside, and the military is being given carte blanche access to our children. Not surprisingly, abuse has followed closely behind.

"

The rest of the story is at the link.

It's Funny How These things Dissolve into thin Air when you apply some scientific knowledge and common sense...

"Mass murder in the skies: was the plot feasible?"
by Thomas C Greene -- 17th August 2006
The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air;
And a loud voice came forth out of the temple of Heaven, From the throne, saying, "It is done!"
--Revelation 16:17

Binary liquid explosives are a sexy staple of Hollywood thrillers. It would be tedious to enumerate the movie terrorists who've employed relatively harmless liquids that, when mixed, immediately rain destruction upon an innocent populace, like the seven angels of God's wrath pouring out their bowls full of pestilence and pain.
The funny thing about these movies is, we never learn just which two chemicals can be handled safely when separate, yet instantly blow us all to kingdom come when combined. Nevertheless, we maintain a great eagerness to believe in these substances, chiefly because action movies wouldn't be as much fun if we didn't.
Now we have news of the recent, supposedly real-world, terrorist plot to destroy commercial airplanes by smuggling onboard the benign precursors to a deadly explosive, and mixing up a batch of liquid death in the lavatories. So, The Register has got to ask, were these guys for real, or have they, and the counterterrorist officials supposedly protecting us, been watching too many action movies?
We're told that the suspects were planning to use TATP, or triacetone triperoxide, a high explosive that supposedly can be made from common household chemicals unlikely to be caught by airport screeners. A little hair dye, drain cleaner, and paint thinner - all easily concealed in drinks bottles - and the forces of evil have effectively smuggled a deadly bomb onboard your plane.
Or at least that's what we're hearing, and loudly, through the mainstream media and its legions of so-called "terrorism experts." But what do these experts know about chemistry? Less than they know about lobbying for Homeland Security pork, which is what most of them do for a living. But they've seen the same movies that you and I have seen, and so the myth of binary liquid explosives dies hard.

Better killing through chemistry
Making a quantity of TATP sufficient to bring down an airplane is not quite as simple as ducking into the toilet and mixing two harmless liquids together.
First, you've got to get adequately concentrated hydrogen peroxide. This is hard to come by, so a large quantity of the three per cent solution sold in pharmacies might have to be concentrated by boiling off the water. Only this is risky, and can lead to mission failure by means of burning down your makeshift lab before a single infidel has been harmed.
But let's assume that you can obtain it in the required concentration, or cook it from a dilute solution without ruining your operation. Fine. The remaining ingredients, acetone and sulfuric acid, are far easier to obtain, and we can assume that you've got them on hand.
Now for the fun part. Take your hydrogen peroxide, acetone, and sulfuric acid, measure them very carefully, and put them into drinks bottles for convenient smuggling onto a plane. It's all right to mix the peroxide and acetone in one container, so long as it remains cool. Don't forget to bring several frozen gel-packs (preferably in a Styrofoam chiller deceptively marked "perishable foods"), a thermometer, a large beaker, a stirring rod, and a medicine dropper. You're going to need them.
It's best to fly first class and order Champagne. The bucket full of ice water, which the airline ought to supply, might possibly be adequate - especially if you have those cold gel-packs handy to supplement the ice, and the Styrofoam chiller handy for insulation - to get you through the cookery without starting a fire in the lavvie.

Easy does it
Once the plane is over the ocean, very discreetly bring all of your gear into the toilet. You might need to make several trips to avoid drawing attention. Once your kit is in place, put a beaker containing the peroxide / acetone mixture into the ice water bath (Champagne bucket), and start adding the acid, drop by drop, while stirring constantly. Watch the reaction temperature carefully. The mixture will heat, and if it gets too hot, you'll end up with a weak explosive. In fact, if it gets really hot, you'll get a premature explosion possibly sufficient to kill you, but probably no one else.
After a few hours - assuming, by some miracle, that the fumes haven't overcome you or alerted passengers or the flight crew to your activities - you'll have a quantity of TATP with which to carry out your mission. Now all you need to do is dry it for an hour or two.
The genius of this scheme is that TATP is relatively easy to detonate. But you must make enough of it to crash the plane, and you must make it with care to assure potency. One needs quality stuff to commit "mass murder on an unimaginable scale," as Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Stephenson put it. While it's true that a slapdash concoction will explode, it's unlikely to do more than blow out a few windows. At best, an infidel or two might be killed by the blast, and one or two others by flying debris as the cabin suddenly depressurizes, but that's about all you're likely to manage under the most favorable conditions possible.
We believe this because a peer-reviewed 2004 study (http://www.technion.ac.il/~keinanj/pub/122.pdf) in the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS) entitled "Decomposition of Triacetone Triperoxide is an Entropic Explosion" tells us that the explosive force of TATP comes from the sudden decomposition of a solid into gasses. There's no rapid oxidizing of fuel, as there is with many other explosives: rather, the substance changes state suddenly through an entropic process, and quickly releases a respectable amount of energy when it does. (Thus the lack of ingredients typically associated with explosives makes TATP, a white crystalline powder resembling sugar, difficult to detect with conventional bomb sniffing gear.)

Mrs. Satan
By now you'll be asking why these jihadist wannabes didn't conspire simply to bring TATP onto planes, colored with a bit of vegetable dye, and disguised as, say, a powdered fruit-flavored drink. The reason is that they would be afraid of failing: TATP is notoriously sensitive and unstable. Mainstream journalists like to tell us that terrorists like to call it "the mother of Satan." (Whether this reputation is deserved, or is a consequence of homebrewing by unqualified hacks, remains open to debate.)
It's been claimed that the 7/7 bombers used it, but this has not been positively confirmed. Some sources claim that they used C-4, and others that they used RDX. Nevertheless, the belief that they used TATP has stuck with the media, although going about in a crowded city at rush hour with an unstable homebrew explosive in a backpack is not the brightest of all possible moves. It's surprising that none of the attackers enjoyed an unscheduled launch into Paradise.
So, assuming that the homebrew variety of TATP is highly sensitive and unstable - or at least that our inept jihadists would believe that - to avoid getting blown up in the taxi on the way to the airport, one might, if one were educated in terror tactics primarily by hollywood movies, prefer simply to dump the precursors into an airplane toilet bowl and let the mother of Satan work her magic. Indeed, the mixture will heat rapidly as TATP begins to form, and it will soon explode. But this won't happen with much force, because little TATP will have formed by the time the explosion occurs.
We asked University of Rhode Island Chemistry Professor Jimmie C. Oxley, who has actual, practical experience with TATP, if this is a reasonable assumption, and she tolds us that merely dumping the precursors together would create "a violent reaction," but not a detonation.
To release the energy needed to bring down a plane (far more difficult to do than many imagine, as Aloha Airlines Flight 243 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aloha_Flight_243) neatly illustrates), it's necessary to synthesize a good amount of TATP with care.

Jack Bauer sense
So the fabled binary liquid explosive - that is, the sudden mixing of hydrogen peroxide and acetone with sulfuric acid to create a plane-killing explosion, is out of the question. Meanwhile, making TATP ahead of time carries a risk that the mission will fail due to premature detonation, although it is the only plausible approach.
Certainly, if we can imagine a group of jihadists smuggling the necessary chemicals and equipment on board, and cooking up TATP in the lavatory, then we've passed from the realm of action blockbusters to that of situation comedy.
It should be small comfort that the security establishments of the UK and the USA - and the "terrorism experts" who inform them and wheedle billions of dollars out of them for bomb puffers and face recognition gizmos and remote gait analyzers and similar hi-tech phrenology gear - have bought the Hollywood binary liquid explosive myth, and have even acted upon it.
We've given extraordinary credit to a collection of jihadist wannabes with an exceptionally poor grasp of the mechanics of attacking a plane, whose only hope of success would have been a pure accident. They would have had to succeed in spite of their own ignorance and incompetence, and in spite of being under police surveillance for a year.
But the Hollywood myth of binary liquid explosives now moves governments and drives public policy. We have reacted to a movie plot. Liquids are now banned in aircraft cabins (while crystalline white powders would be banned instead, if anyone in charge were serious about security). Nearly everything must now go into the hold, where adequate amounts of explosives can easily be detonated from the cabin with cell phones, which are generally not banned.

Action heroes
The al-Qaeda franchise will pour forth its bowl of pestilence and death. We know this because we've watched it countless times on TV and in the movies, just as our officials have done. Based on their behavior, it's reasonable to suspect that everything John Reid and Michael Chertoff know about counterterrorism, they learned watching the likes of Bruce Willis, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Vin Diesel, and The Rock (whose palpable homoerotic appeal it would be discourteous to emphasize).
It's a pity that our security rests in the hands of government officials who understand as little about terrorism as the Florida clowns who needed their informant to suggest attack scenarios, as the 21/7 London bombers who injured no one, as lunatic "shoe bomber" Richard Reid, as the Forest Gate nerve gas attackers who had no nerve gas, as the British nitwits who tried to acquire "red mercury," and as the recent binary liquid bomb attackers who had no binary liquid bombs.
For some real terror, picture twenty guys who understand op-sec, who are patient, realistic, clever, and willing to die, and who know what can be accomplished with a modest stash of dimethylmercury.
You won't hear about those fellows until it's too late. Our official protectors and deciders trumpet the fools they catch because they haven't got a handle on the people we should really be afraid of. They make policy based on foibles and follies, and Hollywood plots.
Meanwhile, the real thing draws ever closer.
