When is she ever?

By the way, has there even been more inspired casting for a docudrama than Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin?

OK, yea, Tina Fey does a spot-on parody, but given HBO's close ties to the corporatocracy, parody was not what they were going for. My suspicion is we'll watch this and complain about how "nice" she comes off, while she'll enlist Bristol and the other Wonder Twin to complain about how Mommy comes off.

The article says the opposite

Tina Fey did a popular impression of Palin on "Saturday Night Live," but Moore's version of Palin looks like it could be even more devastating because of its realism. This is no sketch.

Palin, as depicted in the film, has breakdowns, throws tantrums and generally appears to be as unstable as her biggest critics have always feared.

Doesn't sound "nice" to me.

You gotta wonder

what McCain's senior campaign strategist Steve Schmidt's criteria were for which female to handpick as McCain's running mate. He's as much to blame for the grand fiasco named Sarah Palin as is Sarah Palin herself. Palin was an embarrassment from day one. Schmidt did a great disservice to all the smart, knowledgeable, and capable women out there.

I have to say, having Julianne Moore play Palin is really crossing my wires, psychosexually speaking. Someone I love playing someone I loathe. Maybe I'll be alright if they hide her freckles in makeup.
