Car Rental After Bankruptcy
Does anyone know which car rental companies accept debit cards? I intend to file bankruptcy in a couple of months and found out, to my surprise, that most car rental companies will not accept a debit card, even if it has the MasterCard or Visa logo on it. Since I'll have no credit cards for a while after filing Chapt. 7, this will limit my traveling. I think Alamo and Hertz accept debit cards; Avis doesn't. Any other car rental agencies accept debit cards?

Enterprise accepts debit card, but you have the funds in your account $300+. Budget Rental Car also accepts Debit cards,not sure if they verified funds when I rented the car, but they did when I paid for it upon return. Have done this in NY and in AZ with Budget. Don't think that's true. They only took $50 out of mine when I rented....
