Court Date And Question
Well we're only 2 days away form our 341 meeting and we're nervous as hell. Natural I guess. One question though: WE've not heard anything from any of the creditors (99% medical bills, 1% other) about contesting (is that is the right word) or showing up at the meeting. Is this a sign that they've just thrown their hands up and said "The hell with it"? Or can they still jsut show up court day and say "We're here to contest this"?
They can still show up, but it is unlikely that any creditors will be there. If you owe Sears, they probably will have a rep show up. They offered me a reduced payoff agreement which we turned down. Lean on your attorney. It will be over in 5 minutes. Virtually all creditors who appear at the 341 do so without advance notice, as there is no requirement that notice be given in advance.
