I have just about decided that BK is the only solution to my situation. However, I started a home based business about 2 yrs ago (which is mostly the cause of the situation)and I am concerned what will happen to it if I file ch7. It is in my name as a sole proprietorship. It is still in the red but has good potential as it continues to grow and I definitely want to keep it. I intend on contacting an attorney but I'd like to go into it knowing as much as possible. Your input is greatly appreciated! ( I live in FL)

Whether the business would cause a problem depends on the details. You need to speak with a local attorney who can give you a proper answer. It is a butterfly release business. I sell live butterflies for releases at weddings, etc. It has become a popular trend that started in the late 90's. My problem was that I had no other income coming in while the business was building. But the business itself has tripled since last year.
