Cancelled Checks Vs Electronic/phone Payment Receipts
If I have to provide proof of payment(say several years from now) will computer statements from a bank showing transfers to a company be accepted as proof. How about payments charged to my CC to a another company, or utility. Or is it best to make a payment by check/Money Order.
Answer:
I would do it with paper, myself, if only so that I have a physical copy that I can provide on demand showing it was paid. But, you might want to check with your lawyer or bank for more details on the legality/proof of this. I think any type of statement from a bank would be good proof you made the payment, same thing with payments made via credit card....why not?
