Question On Car
I'm posting anon obviously because creditors may be watching this group. But I'm not a newbie here. I'm afraid creditors could take my car in a judgement cause its worth more than 3k. I just paid the car off. This may sound crazy but what if i knocked some dents in the car tore up the upholestry I don't know what else lol to try and lower the value to under 3k would that be fraud? its worth retail about 6 to 7k.. I don't want them taking it. My attorney said your entitled to at least transportation with an auto but only one worth about 3k in value...If only I could read their minds. I would certainly sell it if I thought they were going to take it.. any opinions? sllly I guess huh?

I wouldn't do anything you can't reverse latter (maybe pull the radio, change out the tires (junkyard tires should go for $25 ea.) or let out half of the a/c coolant out (enough so it's not really cold, but cool), don't run or the a/c may blow the condenser). But, before you do anything get a real appraisal. Go to Carmax or a local used car dealer (none dealerships) and as for a written appraisal "cash price" Carmax will do it for free no questions, local car dealer may charge or you may have to make up a story. Tell the used car dealer you have just about struck a deal for a new car, but want to make sure you are not getting screwed. Good luck, and don't forget to follow-up.
