Getting My Credit Report Straight!
I sure hope someone can help me ! I owe mont wards around 500.00 dollars. Well as some of you know they went bankrupt I need to get this paid or ? but the last thing I want to do is pay a collection agency. Who do I pay or better yet can I demand this be taken off my credit report due to bankrupty?

If I owed you money you could sell the right to collect to another party. The fact that you transferred that right would not affect my obligation to repay, even if the original creditor went out of business. The accounts receivable of a bankrupt corporation may be assigned to a collection agent as a method of obtaining funds for the payment of important debts (like employee benefits). You only have the right to remove inaccurate information from your credit report.
