341 And Assorted Questions...
Hi all, my 341 meeting has finally been scheduled for May 7th. after reading many of the accounts on this board I'm not too worried (jitters definately, though) but I do have a question.... our attorney told us that we should be looking for jobs now, because a job will change our income and make the bankruptcy (chapter 7) not possible. I know that means we need to wait six months to get jobs, but my question is six months from what? six months from filing date, six months from 341 meeting, or six months from the deadline the creditors have to appeal, or sex months from the discharge date. please help clarify.
Answer:
It varies from court to court and from trustee to trustee. The safest route is to wait until you receive your discharge. Next safest is to wait until after your meeting of creditors. Speak with your attorney to find out what local practice is.
