Debt Elimination
I am recently receiving a lot of junk email on this subject. Something like "Eliminate your debt without filing a bankruptcy". I wander if there is anything real behind it or is it's just another way to suck more money from people who are already deep in debt?
Answer:
I too have been wondering what they are proposing. Anybody gone this route or know anything about it? Without looking at what you're getting, I'll tell you that what _I'm_ getting is usually one of several things (i) debt consolidation loans (RUN don't walk away from these), (ii) Some form of "state" bankruptcy (here in WI it's called a "Chapter 128 Plan", not common and quite difficult for a consumer to pull off, but you'll rack up $1,000's in legal fees finding that out...), or (iii) scams that attempt to "clean" your credit report. So, yea, it's 99% certain to be a scam. It's just another way to suck more money from people who are already deep in debt.
