Getting A New Job And Discharge Of Chap 7
My mother is in the running for a $10.00 an horu job. She and my father just got their Chap. 7 discharge 2 weeks ago. What is, if anything, is she required to report to the trustee? And if so, for how long? And how does her getting a new job affect the BK?
Answer:
You are required to report cretain things within 180 days of filing. I don't know for sure but I believe its limited to inheritances, proceeds from life insurance and maybe one or 2 other things. Wages is not one of them. Just look for bankruptcy and "180 days" on a search engine. Generally, she need report nothing. The discharge (and administrative closing) ends her case. Have her speak with her attorney. Different trustees may have different requirements.
