Oddest Meeting With A Bk Attorney Ever
Had my first meeting with a prespective BK attorney last week (not on the one's you reccomended Mr. Weiss, someone else). The whole meeting the gentleman was trying to hit me up for a job for son and refused to answer any questions at all, jsut said "don't worry about it" and "well I don't know, but I can sure find out if you want me to" and my favorite one being when he went on for 10 minutes about his son's web design degree....ugggggh. We're defenitely no using this guy at all. We've talked to a couple of others and me and my wife seem to think we've found a happy medium between "Over bearing" and "To damn lazy". The one we have in mind is a tad too relaxed for my taste, but he's got a decent rep and he does seem to get the job done quickly.
Answer:
I assume that his son won't be getting that job either! As you can see, I'm in a posting mood. Please be 100% sure about the attorney you hire. It could mean all the difference in the world regarding your future. Can you check with your state and see if any complaints or actions have been filed against any you are considering? There are also some places that, for a small fee, will give a business/background check on your prospective attorney. Don't know if it's legal, though, so be careful. Others here probably know more about that then I do. With some good research, you should be able to do this on your own though it will take time. Just speaking from experience, having made some really bad attorney choices in the past. I would definitely check out Brett Weiss's recommendations. If they are anything like him, they will be worth their weight in gold.
