Does anyone know of an auto insurance company that will insure a discharged Chapter 7 applicant via the Internet? I have an impeccable driving record that extends over the past 35 years, but the bankruptcy has made me a pariah...
What do you mean by "made me a pariah?" Did you drop your insurance and now are looking for insurance? From what I undersatnd, this will result in the need to get high-risk insurance even without the bankruptcy. When your credit tanks, and your insurance co pulls your CR for any reason, they will quote you a quite higher rate than you paid to insure previously, regardless of a spotless driving record. For example, I pay $600/yr for auto insurance, and my driving record is unblemished, but my credit is trashed. Geico quoted me $1800/yr for less coverage. The company agent I insure with says that if they ever pull my credit again, my rates will at least double. It's a rip off: Maybe a smart lawyer will pick up on it and make himself rich. Insurance companies are scum, like collection agencies.
