Without Any Strings Attached?

Q: About 6 or 7 years ago, I could get a copy of my credit report for free from TRW without any strings attached. I just wrote them a letter to request one. It seems that the free service is no longer available since TRW sold the business. I know that I can request a copy my credit report if my credit card application gets rejected. But it's very unlikely that my credit card application will be rejected. So, is there a way to get a free credit report without any strings attached?

Don't worry, looking at your file there is a soft inquiry (and you'll build up quite a collection of them, since it's a new inquiry every time you pull your report). Go to worthknowing.com, where you can get your Trans Union report for free in exchange for looking at some offers of pre-approved credit. Also a soft inquiry. Don't go to qspace.com. They may put a hard inquiry on your report to pull it for you.
