Wedding Rings Set For Sale ?

Q: There's a nice little .25 carat solitaire engagement ring that nests in a 14k yellow gold wedding band.

A:Wear it on the little finger and call it a divorce band. Better still, hunt up a skilled metalsmith and have him completely reform the ring. There are, and they don't have to be too expensive. Get your concept (athe simplest one is just a plain ring with a gap in it) and call around for estimates. I think I've seen it in BSL. The old part of BSL is very nice, IMO. I like the fried oysters at Beneigno's (sp?). Kg and I drive there maybe once a month to pig out. I've looked at places there from time to time. Don't remember the name of the waterfront bar, but it's owned by the former lead singer of Blood Sweat and Tears. (No, not David Clayton Thomas or Al Kooper), the THIRD lead singer. I like the coffee shop that rents ocean toys, south of town. They have Lion's Coffee from Hawaii. It's one of my faves. We tried it, it was too loud and while we didn't eat there the food we saw did not look that great. Whereas we liked Beneigno's ( a lot) and we like that little Carole and Alice place(on those very few occasions it's been open when we were there). The sort of high end joint on the main drag (I can't remember the name) is pretty good in terms of food quality but again, noisy and crowded and not really do-able if we have the 6 year old with us. I had a friend that had an actual divorce party...her words were "I had a party when we were engaged, another when we wed and da-- I am going to have one now." She did and it was soooo much fun....
