Baby Names

Baby names have changed a great deal since the last century in fact the last decade has brought us baby names in the way of fruit, countries and colors. The cosmos and the hippy scene have brought new meaning to bringing home your little bundle of joy. The movie stars and people in the entertainment business are responsible for the new trend setting handles. For example we have names like Apple, Peach, Murdock, and Blue. Whatever you choose to call your baby, remember that names that were originally meant for a specific gender are not any longer. They are unisex names and seem to be as common as the traditional names of yesteryear. Whatever happened to the names of long ago? Well the bible names were more traditional and everyone thought at the time of birth that their baby was somewhat of an angel, bringing the baby closer to god so to speak. Now since there are more religions in one specific culture everyone has their own idea of what angelic and god mean thus the names are different now. The people of recent generations wanted to get rid of the same old way of baby naming and chose names that didn't make their babies the second or third of anything. The sixties brought a new wave of names and the flower children were named for the stars the moon and the sunshine. Flowers were also a good way to name your baby in that generation. The onset of war brought a new name craze to the little ones. Names that promoted love and all that peace could muster on one little line of a birth certificate; names such as Freedom, Faith, Hope, Charity and Justice. Whatever your baby's name be sure it is one that they won't mind being stuck with forever. Always remember that other children can be cruel and will at every opportunity. Choose your babies name for him or her not for the trend.
