Baby furniture has changed a great deal in past decades; Whereas; a crib and dresser was once the extent of the nursery furniture. Now there are many more options to choose from. For the baby boomers there have been more than one occasion where you have heard that some one brought their new baby home and they slept in a mere dresser drawer. Wood baby furniture comes in a number of shades, depending on the type of wood used can be either dark or light or possibly somewhere in between. Some new parents prefer to have their baby furniture finished in a solid white, simulating a sterile environment. Cribs have also changed in recent years. Everything from the paint to the width of the bars have been adjusted to meet new government standard. The reason for these changes is the numerous reports of injuries to children and infants.
