Hotel Costes In The City Of Lovers

Head off to the city of lovers and dine in one of the best bars in all of Paris - Hotel Costes. Jacques Garcia's imagination ran riot when he was commissioned to create Paris' most talked about hotel and his originality is evident in both the bar and courtyard cafe. The timeless elegance of this tranquil oasis in the heart of Paris is epitomized by the polished stucco, marble, sycamore and glass decor. Inside the hotel, everything is organized around the light emanating from the large patio of white marble, embellished by a black granite pool with bamboo trees and marble sculptures. The interior, created in the same harmonious style as the building itself, has its corridors, ceilings and walls covered with sycamore wood panels. The use of this semi-precious wood illustrates the general impression of serenity and luxury. The atmosphere is sublime. The food is overpriced but what exactly is cheap in Paris? And certainly everything in this hotel is elegance all the way. Also, with its wonderful ambiance, courtyard dining is a must. And take the opportunity to experience Paris' wonderful wines. The staff are friendly and speak very good English. The restaurant wait staff are also extremely courteous. Head over to the bar and the people get even friendlier! Dance the night away in the bar/club with the newly mixed tunes of the club's ever revolving guests of popular DJs. THe hotel is located in one of the trendiest areas of the city (the selective Trocadero area, the costes K is within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysees, the Museum of Modern Arts (Palais de Tokyo) and to fashion boutiques). Hotel Costes has also developed a very personal atmosphere over the years. The cozy feel of the rooms and the dedication of the staff make you feel at home in this late 19th century building very much appreciated by the trendy crowd. For a very classy and trendy place, you don't need a lot of money to stay here (price starts at 350 Euros a night). Certainly, the place appeals to the more moneyed backpacker who wants to take a look at the brighter side of Parisian life and probably spot a few--albeit non A-list-celebs (some of which are known to frequently stay here). All the rooms boast modern amenities: bathroom, plus all modern facilities such as hairdryer, airconditioning, safety boxes, TV, mini-bar and direct dial telephone with a data port connection to hook up your laptop. Since the hotel is extremely popular with tourists, it is best that you book your rooms in advance. The hotel doesn't have its own website, but you can find several travel agencies that book them online.
