What Is A Good Online Stock Trading Company?

Q: What is a good online stock trading company? I have sharebuilder and they r ok but r they worth investing with are they good at all?

A: Hi punkguy, I had Sharebuilder,but didnt find them to be very helpful in even the most basic questions. So I switched to Firstrade and I like them a lot. They have inexpensive trades($6.95) ,friendly and helpful customer service and fast efficient execution of orders. That's about all you can expect from them and if you want more then perhaps another broker would be a better choice for you. Firstrade is just right for me as I do all my own research and make my own trading decisions. Good luck in your decision and future trading! Sam i've got questrade in canada, trades between 4.95-9.95, no other fees, several trading platforms and great customer service. if you are going to sign up drop me a msg and i can send you a referral link that gets you $50 in free trades and me $100 in free trades ;) who is the best on large trades, cause sharebuilder is killing me on orders over 1000. if its 1000 or lower its only 9.95 but anything over that is .025 a share and if your buying tens of thousands it adds up quick. so who does not charge for large orders and charge fees on the profits of sales. Firstrade doesnt charge me extra for penny stocks. It's A flat price of $6.95 up to 5k shares(but if this one comes in for us i might b able to afford more than 5k in future,lol,so it would get expensive fast). But Scottrade sounds like a great broker and I wish I had chosen them. Not sure if its possible to switich but i'd like 2.
