Depression Statistics Population ?

Q: Is there any good data available on the numbers/percentage of people who report clinical depression based on the size of the city, or area of the country they live in. I mean I bet there's more depression manifested in a carbonmonoxide painted shithole like Cincinnati than in say a town on the Ocean or by the Mountains.

A:You seem really stressed out by the city. If moving is not an option, consider getting into camping. It is a wonderful way to bring nature and peace back into your life. Weekends away are nice but the best is like a two week stay with nothing but a tent no matter what the weather is. IMHO state parks have the most natural campsites. Lots of KOA type camps are like a row of parking spaces for RV's. Not real good for a get away to nature. the city was a serious problem for me....smog, noise, people everywhere, no privacy, sirens all day and all night, and a major airport and air force base here in town doesn't help at all. Now I once again spend my off hours watching my flowers growing, the squirrels playing in the trees, the birds teaching the kiddies how to fly, the stars and the moon walking across the sky. It's also alot of work, porting water, cutting and splitting wood, cutting trails, even dinner is a pretty big event, cranking the fire up and getting good coals for the dutch oven and then using that water I just carried 600 feet down a brushy trail to wash the dishes, but all in all I'm much happier than I was in town. Now if I could just find a good woman who could deal with that!
