This drug is also a tranquilizer and should be taken with a full glass of water and not chewed or bitten into. This medication is set to release the medication into the body slowly to not allow the medication to do its job slowly may result in harm. You may have the appearance of drunkenness or may result in a coma if there is an overdose. There have been reports of these drugs Xanax and Buspar being used together and working well. It is reported that if the doctor prescribes these medications alternately they may work better. Reports also show that Buspar is not as sedating as Xanax so the patient is not left all day with the feelings of being tired all the time. The dosage for these medications varies and your doctor may try more than one to determine which will be the right one for you.
