West Texas Rehab Center

The West Texas Rehab Center is a provider of rehabilitation services to persons with various illnesses. It helps them live full lives despite the challenges that have been brought about by the illnesses, impairment, accident injuries, learning disabilities or cognitive impairment. This rehab center takes care of its patients, not on their ability to pay, but depending on their needs. Its gets it's funding mainly from donations.

The rehab center program has been designed to help these patients to better their interaction with other people and manage the other challenges that are part of their lives. It is located in Western Texas, and serves the region aside from being a referral center for rehabilitation. The West Texas Rehab Center provides these services for both inpatients and outpatients.

Among the services that it provides are pediatric treatment, physical therapy services, and hospice services for patients who are terminally ill as well as occupational therapy.

The centre has licensed professionals working under it who include occupational therapists, physical therapists, pediatric doctors, registered nurses psychiatrics audiologists, chaplains, social workers counselors and many others. Occupation therapists help the patients who have been afflicted b y arthritis and rehabilitation of physical injury as well as rehabilitation of the upper extremities depending on the injuries of the patient. The hearing and balance center of the center helps partially deaf persons to adapt to their hearing loss and communicate well and so does the speech therapy department. Sports medicine services help to rehabilitate sport injuries like sprains and shoulder cuff injuries, depending on the needs of the patient.

West Texas Rehab helps the injured person by incorporating the relatives and family members who are needed to be there to help the person to adapt to a new way of life. Terminally ill patients are cared for by the West Texas Hospice Services. The purpose of this hospice is to provide care and not cure. The patients are treated for their physical pain and counseled to live life fully even in the dace of their illnesses. The family members and loved ones of the terminally ill outpatients are taught how to manage the persons' illness and to take care of the other needs of the patient. For those that are inpatients in the hospice, they are taken care of by qualified persons on a 24 hour basis. Grief Counselors help the loved ones to deal with the loss of a loved one.
