Question About Marketing A Business Sales Training Company ?

Q: I am interested in finding any web pages that are good places to promote a sales training company. Of particular interest are ones that already concentrate in the field of sales or training . . . or ones that are highly regionalized for the Carolina area. Also if anyone knows any recommended print media, newsgroups, or mailing lists that concentrate on the sales training industry, please let me know. I've done a few searches on Liszt and other places and haven't found specific media. The company is called Corporate Campus and is located in Greenville, SC.

A:-I'm not sure I understand your question. On the one hand you ask for sites aimed at users of training services and later in the same post you mention the training industry. If you could profile your target audience, I am sure you will get many more useful answers. -The training market is a jealous one. Don't expect a lot of free info on or off line.

The two best ways to market are: 1) Mailing a good brochure and sales letter to your target industry (you can buy a list, or make your own from The Thomas Register of similar listings), with a postage-paid response card. Have good sales people follow up on the leads and make cold calls. 2) Giving free intro trainings. You can bring them into the intro in whatever way your budget allows (TV, radio, newspaper, direct mail, telemarketing). Training is great fun once you're into it, but the first stages of marketing are a bear. Make sure your brochure has some testimonials from previous clients. Eventually, refferals will be your main source of business.
